► How to google search for home repair grants that work for you!
Step 1: Start at google.org, or any search engine you prefer
Step 2: In the search bar, type “grants for home repair in” and then add your location (town, city, county, or state)
Step 3: Go past the ads and look for available options from governments or nonprofit organizations
Step 4: For any link you select, read carefully for instructions on who is eligible, and what the timeline is to send in the grant request
PRO TIP 1: Grant funders do not accept late applications!
PRO TIP 2: If the grant process appears to be too difficult, use my third tip in the video (if you’re in the United States), and call the phone number 211, to be connected to free services in your area, including home repairs.

One thing that made the show work so well was the interplay between Tim Taylor (Tim Allen) and Al Borland (Richard Karn), the hosts of the local cable show Tool Time, but Karn was never supposed to be on the show full time.
